Like the title of this story, I made this in our free period in the library, so it's just gonna be a short story.
Or at least, I'll try.
Anyways:
Darkness was imminent.
No not THAT darkness. Just, night.
Evan Pyros knew he should be headed home, but what's the point of running away if you go back?
That place wasn't home. That place was what Hell would look like if it surfaced to the center of the earth.
"You ready?"
Avin Cole arrived. His ride out of here. He lived alone and he knew he'd be in peace.
"Just let me grab my stuff," He slung his backpack over his shoulder and prepared to leave.
It was either this, or he did what he never wanted to do again. Burn.
His name was Pyros for a reason. His family came from a long line Pyrokinetics. His father was a talented person, and he used his powers to help those in need. He wanted to be like him.
What a joke that was. Shouting and Shouting and fighting.
He wanted it to end.
They drove for what felt like 3 hours.
Was Avin's house really THAT far? No. Avin never planned on bringing him to his house.
But to his home.
A large, booming like school came into view.
"We're not in X-Men, are we?"
"Kinda like that."
This was a school alright. A dorm, maybe. The darkness loomed more as they entered. Evan produced a blue flame. That was how he differed from regular Pyrokinetics. His ability to use the sacred Blue Fire.
"This is our stop."
'Phatorn Dormitory.'
"Welcome to my home."
"Aren't you guys ripping off of X-Men?" Evan asked.
"You could say that, but really, this is just a school. You know, kinda like Sky High. But, we just teach you how to use your powers. Where you go after that is up to you. There are no heroes, or villains in this place. Just a place to learn. A place to blend."
A place to not feel like a freak.
With a heavy sigh, Evan Opened the doors.
Happy students flinging whatever power they have around flared around the school. Avin was right.
This is home.
And now, Evan WAS home.

Pain From the Fake
This was a song I made a few months ago out of boredom.
Of course, it's technically not a song cause it's all lyrics and no tones (Or maybe it does, I just dont want to sing) But put it up as a page.
So now, I'll put it up as a post so I could arrange The Ink Vault Section.
This isn't the first song I made, but it's the first I put up. Me putting up songs wont be very spontaneous as my stories though.
Sometimes when I get into the mood, I start making lyrics. I'm not the most musical person in the world but I do enjoy writing. Here's something I wrote. Sorry If it's not that good though:

Pain From The Fake
I tried too hard to smile
To bring myself closer
To give you everything kind
You took it without hesitation
And Now, you stab it in front of me
When you thought I didn’t know
To bring myself closer
To give you everything kind
You took it without hesitation
And Now, you stab it in front of me
When you thought I didn’t know
Bridge:
So much for this
So much for this
Chorus:
It’s done, its done, no more pain
I’ll be standing here, watching you walk
I cant stand to try and fix this anymore
I’ll keep my mouth shut, and play your game
I’ll keep my mouth shut, just for you
Mr. Fake
It’s done, its done, no more pain
I’ll be standing here, watching you walk
I cant stand to try and fix this anymore
I’ll keep my mouth shut, and play your game
I’ll keep my mouth shut, just for you
Mr. Fake
Day by day pass by
As I keep going with the flow
Reading through the lines
Laughing at your jokes
But things wont be the same
Cause this time, my eyes will see
As I keep going with the flow
Reading through the lines
Laughing at your jokes
But things wont be the same
Cause this time, my eyes will see
Bridge and Chorus
You ask me what’s wrong
Well look at the mirror
You shout at me like this
But you deny your faults
You can’t walk out this door, sir
My heart is burning
My Heart is burning
Well look at the mirror
You shout at me like this
But you deny your faults
You can’t walk out this door, sir
My heart is burning
My Heart is burning
Chorus
I tried too hard to smile
I tried, but it’s just no use...
I tried, but it’s just no use...

Dragon Soul: A Skyrim Fanfic
Chapter 1:
7 years had passed since the defeat of Alduin . 7 Years since the end of the civil war. 7 years since the death of Ulfric Stormcloak. 7 years... Everything because of the Dragonborn, my father.
At least, to me he is. I don't own his blood, but to his blood, I owe him everything. He was more of a father to me then the parents that left me in that wretched orphanage. Everyday I lived my life in demands and pain from that old hag,Grelod the Kind. Irony to her name.
The moment the Dragonborn first stepped into Honorall Orphanage, I knew every single one of us were saved. He gave me one good look, and one good glare at Grelod, before leaving the orphanage. He came back the next day, taking Grelod to her private quarters. What first seemed like Grelod's regular means of conversation turned into screams of anger and fear before she let out one last cry as I heard her blood splatter across the room. Grelod was dead. As dead as a Draugr in the ruins out of Riften.
"Grelod is dead." Runa said. Every kid in the room stopped what they were doing, dropped everything and stood outside Grelod's door. It opened, The Dragonborn with his bloody sword and Grelod the Kind on the floor. Dead. He smiled at us and said.
"You're saved." He went out the door as Constance Micheal returned from the market.
"What are you all-" She didn't finish. Her bag of goods fell to the floor, apples and berries spilling in all directions. Her face was a mix of shock, horror, mortified, and a small hint of gladness. She started panicking, screaming in a panic. The other kids didn't bother with her and poked at Grelod's corpse. Me and Runa eventualy calmed her down. The guards came in from all the shouting and discovered Grelod. What we thought was gonna be an interrogation became comical amusement.
"Oh, Grelod the Kind is dead. Bitch had it coming." One said.
"Should we report this?" The other asked
"Naw, No one's gonna care about her anyways. Just haul her corpse to the Hall of the Dead. I think even the youngsters dont even care about her." And that was the last we ever so of that wicked witch. The guards hauled her bloody body to the Hall of the dead.
A day later, the Dragonborn came back.
Constance Micheal approached him.
"Is there something I can do for you?" She asked. I thought he only did this to get in her pants, but the next words surprised us all the most.
"I'm here to adopt one of your kids." He said. Constance was a stuttering moron by now.
"Tha-Tha- That's great! Um, uh, but first, I gotta ask a few questions and... Do you have a home for the child to stay?"
"I have one at Whiterun. Then there's one here at Riften. I had the alchemy lab turned into a room for the kid can stay."
"You can adopt 2, if you like."
"No, I already have one at home. Just one more to complete the package."
Then, there was silence.
It broke into a war of who was gonna go with him.
There was hair pulling, shouting, begging.
"Pick me!"
"No Me!"
"I can do chores! Pick me!"
Everyone was at a momentum. They wanted to get out of this orphanage.
I just stood there and stared at the man. The man who gladly dirtied his hands to free us.
And he stared back.
"I'll take him." He said so calmly.
"He looks like a little warrior."
I was still standing there, with my mouth slightly open. The shock had come to me late, and everyone was looking at me with curt jealousy.
"Samuel? Aren't you going to meet your new father?" I casually walked over to him, still in a state of shock. Everyone parted a way for me.
"Looks, like your coming home with me, Kiddo."
Then, just like that, I was the Dragonborn's new son.
~This was one of the first things I wanted to publish, but never had the time to work on. So, today, after publishing the first Guts chapter, I was like, eh, What the Hell.
It dawned on to me that I've made a lot of these short stories, and most of them are ending up as series.
The Only Exception would be Free Fall. (If you read the story, the pun was intended.)
So now, I realized how much I should be working on. Then I also realized how much I've neglected working on my comic My Parents are Nobodies, again. It's nothing new, but I bet my readers are pissed.
Well, hope you enjoyed. See Ya!

Guts: Ignition
"Well you find your strength in Solutions, But I like the tension
It's been quiet...So far.
The east side's stairs to the first floor was destroyed so we have to take the west side.
Rooms were devoid of doors, some replaced with boarded up wood.
I can assume that there are other survivors, but it's everyone for themselves at the time.
"Hello." We turned around.
Our principal, Mr. Randy stood before us. He was holding a fire axe. His smile said it all.
"Loitering at school is a no no. You should know that." With that, he rushed at us, bashing the ax at the floor.
It was stuck. With all my force, I bashed Mr. Randy's face in, flushing out previous memories of him.
He wasn't human anymore.
I picked up the fire ax and was ready to go when Ms. Aria aimed her Staple Gun.
"Ms. Aria?" Her face was serious, and for a second, I thought she'd gone mad. Then she fired.
Not at me. But to my back.
Ms. Lauren lay dead with a staple on her eye.
"I never liked her. Dragged on about cats aaaaaall day." True. It didn't help that she taught History. We were barely awake for her classes.
We reached the cafeteria.
"Ok, let's split up. Grab as much as you can." I unhook my backpack and searched the kitchen.
"Youuuuu shouldn't beee here." Oh crap!
The lunch lady was holding a ladle and the huge smile that made Joker look sad.
I wasn't particularly fond of her because of her gruff appearance and horrible personality.
This just takes things to a whole new level. I raised the ax.
She was quicker.
She struck my face with the ladle and kicked my stomach. Her huge legs only furthered my pain. The ax was knocked out of my reach. The pipe was with Ms. Aria. I had to do something.
"Well? How does it taste? Years, and years of cooking, all I hear from you kid is 'Oh god, what is this shit?!' Well I hope you like my shit now!" Her maniacal laugh filled the room. Where are Ms. Aria and Uri?!
They were preoccupied. I have to do something. There was a small chair by me. I grabbed it and turned the lunch lady over.
"That wasn't very nice." She spat.
"So is kicking a student."
I stood up and held my stomach, maintaining my balance with a table. There was a knife. I eyed it and I met with her eyes.
Then, there was the struggle. Her smile, so wicked. Our hands wrestling for it.
I somehow won the knife. I kicked her to the gut and stabbed her neck.
"They said that for a reason. Your food IS shit."
I ransacked the kitchen of what food I could grab, which wasn't more than a few canned goods and chips, and ran to the kitchen door, but someone beat me to it.
"Wirick! Are you alright?" Talk about late reactions.
"Yeah. Just had a talk with the lunch lady. Where were you guys?!"
"Ms Aria got bit by Fergy. He's a giggles now." I managed an "Oh" Unlike Zombie bites. Giggles don't infect others. Really, it was more of a strike to the brain, and we were immune to it. Being bit doesn't really give you anything except a flesh wound to be annoyed about.
"He wasn't in his right mind to begin with. The Gyros just made things worse for him." Ms. Aria added.
It was true. Fergy was a pretty fucked up person before all this shit ever happened.
Our food hunt at the cafeteria wasn’t such a big hit. We managed a few things from the kitchen and some fallen snacks from a vending machine Urien broke.
The nearest 7-Eleven was just across the street. We never dared to venture out of the school. But today was Urien’s lucky day. I took his word. I’m just hoping his guts are right, yet again.
I looked out the window. There weren’t a lot of giggles outside the school
Just an old lady in a bench and the cashier for 7-Eleven outside, near a trashcan.
We could take them.
“On the count of three. One...Two...THREE!”
We burst out the door. Granny Giggle stared at us and got to her feet with an old cane.
She didn’t reach us. Urien had speared her forehead.
Cashier Giggle was much smarter.
He grabbed the trash can and threw it at us.
“I don’t get paid too much for this.” He said.
The can nearly hit Ms. Aria. It toppled to the ground. He grabbed a pocket knife from his pocket and dashed at us.
Ms. Aria was firing, but he was quick enough to dodge the staples. He jumped as Urien struck, evading the curtain pole.
He shoved them both out of the way and kicked my ax to the ground. He raised the knife at me. That’s when I remembered.
I had my own knife. The switchblade. The knife I could’ve used on the lunch lady a while ago if I weren’t too preoccupied from avoiding death.
I unhooked it from my belt and pierced his throat with surprising speed. I pushed him off of me.
“You ok?” Uri asked. I nodded. “Let’s just get some food.”
Before we even made 5 steps inside the building, a gun was pointed to my forehead.
“Don’t move.” I raised my hands and looked at the holder with fear. She wasn’t a giggles. She lowered the gun.
“Oh good. You’re not one.” The girl was about the same age as I am. Her hair was a wavy brunette, and her eyes sparkled blue. “We’ve got survivors.”
From behind the counter, a bunch of teenagers, some of who I recognize, stand up.
Some of them were from my class.
“Wirick! Urien! Ms. Aria!” It was Dianne. Jessica’s best friend.
“D! You’re alright!” And Uri’s girlfriend for that matter. They shared a surprisingly long kiss.
“Dianne, you know these guys?”
“They’re from my class. Wirick, this is Vivi. She helped us escape from giggles and set up this 7-Eleven as our base. Vivi, this is Wirick, my classmate, Uri, my boyfriend, and Ms. Aria, our English Teacher.”
There was a mutual hello in the air.
“We just came from the school We’re low on food. Think you guys can spare?”
“Sure. Luke. Get us some food.” She turned to me. “Bagged or Plastic?” I laughed at the joke.
“We’re going for plastic. Hey, why don’t you come with us? The larger our numbers, the larger our chances to survive.” Vivi contemplated the offer.
“How many are your survivors?” she asked. I counted up to the ones we managed to rack up. “We’re around 8. Most of them from our class and some adults. Dianne, Jessica’s there too.” Dianne’s eyes sparkled with tears and relief and sighed.
“Ohhh, thank god. I thought-“ She was interrupted by a rap on the door.
Jessica. She was bloody to her left arm and held a bloody box cutter with her right hand. With her were Mr. Hudson and Gary from Science.
Dianne quickly let them in.
“We have to get out of here” She coughed. “The school got overrun with Giggles with weapons. We barely got away.” I thought about the other survivors.
“They’re dead, if that’s what you’re thinking.” No...
“We have to patch you up first. Mike! Get me some gauze!” Dianne shouted.
“D... You’re alright.” Jessica hugged her.
After patching her up with gauze, everyone packed up rationed food enough to last 10 days and medical supplies that were scavenged from the run down 7-Eleven.
“We’re getting out here through the backdoor.” Vivi’s second in command, a blond haired guy armed with a crowbar, called Luke commanded.
“Where are we going?” I asked. There was silence. Then, Vivi turned around to face me.
"Anywhere but here."

Guts Series
This was originally supposed to be a one-shot short story. Got a little carried away, went overboard and the story became too big. I had to cut it up to three parts.
So today, I present the first part of the Guts series.
It's my way of bringing out an apocalypse without going with the usual cliche's of infected or zombies. I thought of trying something new.
This was based on a short story I was going to submit to a competition. If I had won, the short story would have been turned into a short film. But, meh, I was so unsatisfied with the original draft, I shelved the story and it remained in my laptop for a while. But when I was thinking up of a new Idea for a new story, this really just popped into my head.
So, with that in mind, I hope you enjoy.

All That Began
(18
years ago...)
“Rooms are clear.”
“Check that study!”
Nothing else filled Karen Hunning’s living room besides her father’s scattered books and his corpse. Blood everywhere.
A 7 year old Karen was holed up in the secret tunnel behind a bookcase that Karen’s brother, Jim, insisted on having. It connected the main house and Jim’s house. Karen’s mother was outside the tunnel, comforting a crying Karen.
“Whatever you do Karen, do not leave this room. If you hear me scream, I want you to crawl as far as you can from the hall. No one will find you here because no one knows about this secret room, do you hear me? No one but us. Don’t stop running until you hit a door. Your brother lives there. He knows what to do. Remember that I will always...ALWAYS...Love you. Mama will always love you.” Those were the last words Karen heard from her as she kissed her in the forehead. She didn’t understand why she didn’t go with her instead. But Monica Hunning knew. That trap door was meant to save Karen and Jim knew that one day the Gansd Family would one day find them and purge their parents. Her parents had already accepted their deaths and were prepared to die for Karen’s safety.
Karen knew nothing of her family’s past, but she knew the moment her brother left home for reasons he refuses to explain, they had past dealings that made them enemies. All she knew was they were a good family who helped the poor and weak. Monica knew more, but nothing has been said about this. Now, she faces the nightmare she prepared for years ago and pulled out an M1911 pistol she saved from her darker days.
If Monica had to die, she would die fighting. At least take someone with her and keep her daughter safe. She pushed her daughter out of the doors way as she pulled a copy of Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, tossed it to Karen and closed the small door camouflaged as a small set of books. In a second, her mother was gone. Back into the study. Back into danger and she was in the darkness.
“Monica... It’s been years.” Monica turned around
“Cut the crap Jerry.” She pointed her gun at him. “You’re not getting anything out of me.”
“Oh, I know that. But I know you have family, and I know your son loves his sister so dearly. So if you kindly tell me where your sweet, sweet daughter is, I will end your life with the quickest way possible.”
She responded with a shot to his eye. He fell facedown, still slightly alive, trying to stop the blood flow. Monica stepped on his neck with her heels repeatedly until he died. 2 others came into the study, Monica quickly shot one repeatedly until he also died, but the time to reload her gun was enough to give the last man time to tackle her to the ground. She screamed
Screamed
Karen’s sign to crawl like hell. And she did. She did just that and cried so quietly as she crawled until there was space enough for her to stand up and run. She heard a distinct gunshot and she knew.
Her Mama was no more.
Tears and snot started flowing like a powerful waterfall. Soon she was in front of a green door.
“Big Brother! Open the door! Big Brother. Jim! Help!”
It didn’t take 3 minutes for Jim to notice. As soon as he opened the door, she jumped at him crying.
He knew this day would come...
(18 Years Later: Present Time)
“Karen, are you sure you’re ready for this?”
“Please, how many have I taken down so far Jim? You worry too much.”
“But this is the Tinfurd Mafia we’re talking about. This is very serious business”
Karen Hunning, now 25, is running the family business with his now 39 year old brother.
She had her gear ready, and she didn’t like that her brother didn’t think she could handle it.
It was simply robbing a bank. Sure it’s a mafia bank, but it certainly wont stop her.
“We need the money. Besides, being an office worker can get boring sometimes. Plus, who’s going to feed those kids on the alley just across the street?”
Jim gave in. But this was still the mafia, and he knew very well what a mafia family is capable of doing. He opened his backpack and fished out a small box.”
“Take it.” He said. Karen took it without hesitation and quickly opened it in anticipation.
“A Stun Gun?” She asked.
“You can never be too careful.” Too careful? She has a gun enough for her to scare off the weak and kill off the dangerous. She also has a Switchblade for the more quiet missions. A Stun Gun is basically just telling the attacker to back away. She didn’t say anything else and readied the rest of her things.
“Ok, let’s go over this one last time.” Karen said. She opened her phone and a small map projected itself.
“From here, I’m going to go by that ally and climb that fence. I can knock out or kill any of the guards blocking the back entrance, then dispose of them in the dump nearby. Then, I should be able to make my way to room 98 where the portrait of Hayley Williams hangs. Behind that is a door leading to the true interior of the bank.” Jim Nods.
“Once you’re there, you make your way to room 15. Any men you see, you may take care off. But be discrete. You will then use the card I gave you to suck the Mafia’s dirty money dry from their Personal ATM that only THEY can see. Our bug from the inside has already made sure that they will not be aware of any money loss after you use that card. After that, you get out immediately.”
With everything prepared, Karen got into her hoodie and left.
Transportation was handled by Jim. His friend, Joe, picked her up and dropped her off the street just behind the bank.
So, like the plan, she had gotten into an Alley quick. She peeled off her hoodie and put on her gloves and glasses.
“Don’t move.” A voice behind her said. She hasn’t even started her mission and she’s been already spotted?
“Give me your money.” Oh, just a regular mugger. She sighed and was going to grab her pistol when she remembered the Stun Gun. She didn’t want to draw out a lot of attention.
With her reflexes, she managed to grab the muggers wrist and bind him to the floor.
“Ow! You crazy bi-” He didn’t finish that. All that was heard was a faint crackle of electricity. The mugger was on the floor unconscious. She tied him to a telephone pole.
“Now I see why women buy these things.” She was fascinated by her new weapon.
The back door was guarded by one man. He was big enough to scare off even dust bunnies.
She climbed the fence and slowly crept up the wall. She threw a small rock at a bush and the guard turned his attention.
She snuck behind him and quickly slit his throat.
“Sorry about that.” She said so morbidly. She dragged the man’s body and threw it in a dumpster. But not before taking his wallet.
“You won’t be needing that anymore.”
The floor mat was conveniently far from the blood spilled on the doorway so Karen covered the blood neatly with a welcome mat.
The bank was big and would have been easy to get lost in if Karen hadn’t brought her map with her.
Room 98 was small and simple room. A break room if you may. Small couches, a mini fridge and a dining table were laid out on the area. The Hayley Williams Portrait stood out in front of her and she knew it wasn’t going to be hard getting in.
The door opened.
A woman, probably in her 20’s just entered the room. She hasn’t noticed Karen yet because she closed the door behind her, giving Karen enough time to Taze her and put her in the couch. Judging by her appearance, One can assume she was one of the regular employees that had no idea that this bank was owned by the mafia.
“I’m sorry...” She read her name tag. “Ashley. Wrong place, wrong time.”
Karen quickly pressed a button on the portrait and it swung fast. She entered and closed the portrait door behind her.
“What kind of Mafia bank IS this?! This has been way too easy.”
She made one step before a blade nearly sliced her into a dozen bits.
“Spoke too soon.” This area was bricked. So this is the mafia bank. To get to the first hall, she has to solve the rooms puzzle without dying.
The Mafia was prepared for attacks. The tough guys outside were just decoration.
Karen took out 2 pieces of Breath mints.
“She threw the first one on the left. The floor burst into flames. She threw the next one to the right. Nothing happened.
“Jim did NOT tell me about the traps.” She muttered and stepped to her right.
“Crap, I’m out of breath mints.” With nothing left to lose, she threw the breath mint case in front of her. A single tile hole formed in front of her. If she wanted to pass, she was going to hop over one step at a time. She did so with ease and reached the end of the door.
“Didn’t even break a sweat!”
Little did she know that the puzzles weren’t over. The next room was a small hall with no doors, just brick walls.
“Shit, there’s more.”
She felt the walls to find an opening. There
The right wall was fake. She pushed one of the bricks that were conveniently loose.
She was inside the tunnel of the true bank.
Now the next room was where her mission truly begins.
“Ahh, I really need to lay off the Chinese food.” A voice from behind came. He saw Karen and attempted to pull out his gun. Karen beat him to it and shot him in the forehead.
Good thing the gun had a silencer on it.
She had 2 choices. Leave the corpse there, or throw him in the room in front of her.
She chose the latter.
Luckily, the room was a supply closet no one ever used.
Calling the mission easy was a bad idea. Even with her map, the inner bank was totally confusing.
Every now and then, she’d have to hide from approaching thugs.
She didn’t want to waste all her bullets.
“Hey!”
Shit. She thought to herself.
“Who are you supposed to be?” He was wary but not aware of her identity. A new one, she thought.
“I-I’m New. I got lost, wandering around.”
He was still suspicious of her. Scratching his head.
“I didn’t see you in initiation... Are you sure?”
He was gonna compromise her if she didn’t think of something.
“Um yeah. I wanted to look around but I suddenly had to pee. I’m looking for the bathroom. Really! I’m going to burst any second now, uh...”
“Coby” His normal build and normal height may mean he’s young. Karen didn’t have the heart to kill someone whose life was still starting. Even if he did join the mafia.
“Coby. Haha. Yeah. So, can you show me where?” Coby turned around.
“Alright. But next time, I’m not going to do you anymore favors. You’re going to have to-“
Kzzaatt.
Coby fell to the ground, face first.
“Sorry.”
Karen opened the door beside her and threw Coby in.
She was going to continue on when she realized the plaque on the door she threw Coby in was the room she was looking for all that time.
Room 15.
A facepalm for herself was in order. She entered the door, nudging Coby out of the way to get the door to open more.
Room 15 was white room that was so wide, you could see everything in the room from Karen’s angle.
A Blue ATM stood in the middle of the room.
“Finally”
She approached the ATM and placed the card her brother had given her.
“Well, well.” Karen turned around.
Beside the fallen Coby stood a man in a lavish looking suit.
His build meant trouble. His face bound with amusement. His smile, seemingly casual with a sinister intent. Karen hoped it wasn’t who she thought it was.
With his hair, a mix of black and brown, and eyes as blue as the sea, she knew she was right.
Gyle Winfreed.
Tinfurd’s most ruthless and cunning man.
His cleverness hides beneath his brawn, yet his eyes show a glimmer of that sly mind.
Just one look. It was all that Karen needed to know.
He was the real deal.
One look had intimidated Karen easier than 50 rats coming out of a box.
Yet, she felt a connection.
A zing, if you might.
From this man who might be her caped, or rather, suited assassin.
“What is Ms. Steal to Donate doing here?”
Jim had warned her about him.
“If you ever see him, Run. Forget the case. Just run like hell. You can’t take him. If you’re in a room and you can’t get out, I want you to keep calm and distract him long enough. Shoot him maybe, but that’s not gonna cut it. He’s fast and smart. He wont be hit by a simple bullet. Once you find that opening, run and never look back.”
Karen took a deep breath and aimed her pistol at him.
He raised an eyebrow and gave a coy smile.
“A silenced Five Seven. Don’t know how you got your hands on that, but I’m pretty sure that peashooter can’t kill me.”
The transaction was complete. The card had taken all the money.
She needed only to get out.
“I could kill you, you know? I could put you through a fate worst than death.”
Karen had to get out. If she had to fight her way through, she would.
Without a moments hesitation, she took out her switchblade and threw it at him.
He quickly evaded it to his right. The blade stuck to the wall.
Karen knew she would miss her shots, but that was the point.
She removed the silencer and open fired.
She knew this room was sound proof so it wouldn’t matter.
Gyle evaded the shots as Karen quickly walked to the door.
Now their positions were switched.
Gyle was by the atm. Karen was at the door with a still unconscious Coby.
“Very clever.”
Karen found herself smiling at the compliment.
“But, two can play it that game.” He pulled out his own gun.
A .44 Magnum Revolver. To Karen’s Five Seven, Gyle’s own gun was a pistol among pistols.
Karen attempted to open the door, but Gyle had already locked it with something.
To say that Karen was clever, Gyle had forgotten to add “But not clever enough.”
Gyle had fired, missing Karen by inches. Intentional.
Gyle’s aim was as good as a hawk being fired by another hawk with a gun loaded with hawks.
Karen’s gun was empty. She had to ditch it to run around. All she had left was her Stun Gun.
Jim was right. You can never be too careful...
Now her plan involved her getting close enough to actually disarm Gyle. An extremely dangerous plan that would undeniably be fatal was she to fail.
She did as Gyle did. Run from the shots fired, but Gyle did not move. She was hoping for that.
She was inches away from him. Face to face. His gun aimed at her. Her Stun Gun, still in her backpocket.
“Oh. So this is how it’s going to be.” He gave a cold grin as he pointed the magnum at her.
“I wonder what Dora the Explorer has left in her backpack? Is the Map going to save her? Will you say, Gyle no swiping at me?”
Though he mocked her, she still felt an unexpected pull to him.
But she couldn’t fall now. He was the enemy. He didn’t feel anything for her.
She dashed at him.
“Well, that’s a bold move.” He said.
Then, with quick succession, Karen pulled out the Stun Gun and aimed for his hand.
Success.
The gun flew into the air and Gyle fell to the floor, clutching his hand.
Karen caught the gun before it hit the floor.
She pointed it at Gyle.
A smile
A sincere, but somehow sly smile.
“That was surprising.” He said out loud
Karen felt a thickness in the air.
Her insides warming. Her heart beating faster.
Without a second thought, Karen grabbed his face and planted one on him.
A kiss that lasted for about 25 seconds before Karen pulled away.
“...No, I take it back. That was.” After those quick words, Gyle looked visibly stunned at his enemy’s action. His enemy, who attempted to escape with all their money, had kissed him.
And he had just accepted it just like that.
The awkward silence that filled the room disappeared until he had his turn to grab HER in the face and kiss her as well.
They made out for an entire 4 minutes before noticing Coby was starting to wake up.
Gyle grabbed the stun gun from Karen and quickly tazed the poor boy’s neck.
He fell to the ground again. Unconcious.
“...I.” Karen was speechless at her actions.
“Shh...” Gyle put a finger in her lips before retracting it in favor of his own lips.
“I... I have to get out of here.” Karen was blushing.
Gyle had realized it. She had fallen for him. And he had for her too.
Love is a very mysterious thing.
Karen had always imagined herself dating a regular man from the office.
Gyle on the other hand imagined himself with some girl from another mafia family whose alliance with Tinfurd extended to more than just handshakes.
But this is where they had got themselves.
Karen was desperately shaking her head, her cheeks so red.
Gyle felt his cold heart warming.
His eyes saw the beauty that was in front of him.
His heart actually FELT something.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Gyle walked up to her and hugged her like the end of the world was about to start.
“I’m going to get you out of here.”
End:
Did you like that? Sorry it took so long.
This is the first prologue of All That Is Waiting.
The story that started it all.
It’s kinda boring at first, but I hope you enjoyed.
And now you know why there’s a Stun Gun at the first story.
Tune in for the next story.

“A silenced Five Seven. Don’t know how you got your hands on that, but I’m pretty sure that peashooter can’t kill me.”
The transaction was complete. The card had taken all the money.
She needed only to get out.

Free Fall
…And on the Free
Fall, I will Realize
…I'm better off when I hit the Bottom
Alison threw her Ipod into the deep Ravine
Funny she thought to herself
Never thought the last song I'd ever listen to would be Turn it Off.
A single tear fell from her cheek. She wiped it off her cheek.
Can't cry. No one's there to save you anyways.
The Ravine was at least 20 feet deep. Throwing herself over would instantly kill her.
Much like her Ipod, which she oddly heard it's destruction.
"Gravity. Thanks for giving me the chance to break all my bones. I'll get you a promotion when I get to hell."
Alison closed her eyes, sucked in a lot of air, and spread her hands out.
But before she decided to crush every part of her body, she wanted to remember everything that pushed her. Everything.
~~10 Days Ago~~
…I don’t even remember
…Why I'm Wasting all these tears on you!
Oh my god, Cassadee Pope. You're so overreacting. You, are like, so great. You don't need that guy.
Good thing I'm happy. What'll happen to me when my dear, dear Derek leaves me.
This was not a good sign. Alison's Ipod is her prophetic music player that oddly plays music that'll match the mood.
She inserted her key and turned her boyfriends apartment door knob, slowly. She wanted to surprise him with a visit.
Instead, she dropped the box of cake she had brought for him.
He was making out with a girl.
Not just any girl
That slut from her class, Gina Pally.
Derek must've heard the cake fall. That or because the door suddenly opened, with an open mouthed Alison standing out the door, because he was instantly off of Gina. If Alison had arrived any later, maybe it would've been more than their shirts on the floor.
For 10 seconds, Alison was just standing there with her mouth wide open.
Then came the impact of the situation.
Then Denial
Then Regret
Then Anger
Then the tears.
“What’s up, bitch?” Gina said abruptly. This was an intentional attack on her part. She wanted to destroy another couple.
And she succeeded.
Derek Michael Langsty fell for her attack.
He cheated on Alison.
“Alison...I.... Alison! Wait!”
Alison about-faced and ran down the hall, like any hurt girl who just caught her boyfriend kissing some slut.
Why? Tears continued to stream off of her face.
She reached her car and drove without any destination.
…Rolling in the Deep!!!
…You had my heart inside your hand!
Stupid Radio! Stupid Ipod! Why does every song you play end up coming true?!
Her heart was shattered. Her eyes so swollen, it might have popped out of her eye sockets.
It’ll take more than ice cream to mend her broken heart.
In her anger, she kept trying to change the station. All were oddly playing the same song.
Rolling in the deep.
“Oh my GOD! I HATE YOU!” She now started to bang her radio.
“If you know my future so much, why don’t tell me what’s gonna happen to me next you piece of-“
The song changed.
....I think we have an Emergency!
“Wha-“
There was a loud and long beep.
A car was gonna collide with hers.
“Shit!” She stepped on the breaks so hard, her heels might break.
It was a close shot.
“Oh my god...” She sighed. And angrily stepped out her car.
“Can you watch where you’re going?!” The man that stepped out of his own car was familiar.
“Well, if you weren’t driving so fast, you’d know you were driving on the wrong lane.”
It was her old friend. Josh Harris.
They had been close friends as kids. They oddly drifted when they entered high school.
“Sorry, Josh.” She turned around and wiped her eyes dry to avoid any more embarrassment.
The radio’s song changed again. From Emergency, it became
…And if you have a minute, why don’t we go
…Somewhere only we Know
Lyrics spoke for itself, yet Alison had no idea what they meant at the moment.
“Hey...What’s wrong, Ali?”
“I...I just...” She sat at her car.
Minutes later, they decided to talk, but not before parking their cars at the side of the road. Wouldn’t want to get hauled by the police.
“So, it was that bastard Derek.” Josh said. He smacked his fist into his other hand.
“Want me to take care of him?”
Alison laughed, but not without small tears still dripping. She was holding up her handkerchief.
“Don’t...That’s alright Josh. Thanks though...”
He smiled. A caring kind of smile. This made Alison wonder.
“Why did we ever grow apart?” She asked.
He tipped his hat upward and looked into the sky.
“I don’t really know. I just thought you wanted to hang out with your girl friends or Derek more. We slowly stopped seeing each other. That’s just it.”
“We became strangers.” She said so bluntly.
“Yeah...Strangers.”
Alison laid her head into his shoulder, and cried a good 8 minutes, before getting over herself.
She wiped her nose
…Who cares? Divine intervention
…I Wanna be praised from a new perspective
The song made no sense at this situation, but Alison took it as her sign to leave and thank Josh.
“I should go. I have some crazy crying to do and dark songs I have to listen to.”
“Sounds good. Can I come?”
“Haha... No. Thanks though. It’s not like you caught your girlfriend cheating with someone.”
He gave her an odd look that meant her words meant otherwise.
She didn’t realize it.
“Well...Thanks again Josh. You made me feel a little better.” She gave him a friendly hug and wiped another tear from her face.
“See you on...Monday?”
He gave a coy smile and said. “Maybe.”
True to her words, she came home crying like crazy.
She ripped every photo of Derek.
Burned every gift he got her.
Destroyed everything he owned that he left in her room.
Wiped every memory of him from existence. Or atleast...In her room.
…I hate myself for loving you
…I turn my head away
…But my heart will remain, till the day I learn your no good for me
Fitting to her rage, the song continued to boom into her room.
“Is everything ok?” Her mom entered her room.
“It’s... I’m fine mom.” She wasn’t. She was obviously wasn’t
“I’m fine. You don’t have to worry. You can continue doing whatever your doing and please just leave me alone.” Alison was backed to a wall and fell to her knees.
“I’m fine. I’m fine. I’m fine.”
She sobbed continually.
All her mom could do was comfort her. She knew what it was like to find your loved one from cheating. Just like her husband and that bitch that took him away.
That Monday, Alison was barely in the path to recovery.
She wasn’t crying. That’s one. But she was still not feeling any good.
“Alison.” That voice...
Alison put on her earphones and blasted the volume to max. She’d rather let her ears bleed than listen to that asshole.
“...son... Wa...t I..s N.t w..t y.. Th..k!” She could still hear them.
...Ignorance is your new best friend
...Ignorance is your new best friend.
Annoyed enough, she wanted to get this over with. She ripped her earphones off of her ears.
“What? What do you want to say, you man-whore?! That it’s not what I think?! Stereotype much?! Guys keep saying that when the girls obviously know what it meant! You listen, and listen good you asshole. We’re through. We ARE THROUGH. I hate you. I hate your cheating ass. I hate your annoying lies! So get OVER yourself. Get a LIFE!” Alison started walking on, but not without turning back.
“Oh, and by the way.” His face was red and sweaty. “I hope you enjoyed that slut, and I hope you fall off a cliff and DIE.”
Alison continued on, not noticing the crowd of people whose attention she garnered.
...When I thought he was mine
She caught him by the mouth
Oh no.
“Hey Ali-Ho.” Gina.
“Bitch.” Alison replied.
“Saw what you did there. Let me just tell you this. He DID enjoy me. At least, more than he ever enjoyed you.”
Misery Business was on its guitar solo when Alison literally ripped her hair to shreds.
Then, in commemoration to the song, she reached into Gina’s boobs.
“I knew it.”
There were pads. Bitch was wearing pads.
“You bi-“ Alison beat her to it. She had given Gina an extremely painful slap across the face. Twice.
“The next time you decide to steal someone’s boyfriend, let me tell you this. You better make sure his girlfriend wasn’t extremely calculating.” Alison shoved her to the floor.
“Slut.”
She could hear the students whispering
“Twice in one day. Oh my god, I’m scared of her.” Teenagers gave way to her.
“I’m going to make your life hell, you hear me? HELL!” Gina shouted in the hall
Alison turned around. “Sorry. I’m already in one.”
In 3 days, most of her friends have deserted her in fear. Only Josh and Val were left. Her old friend, and her best friend.
“Don’t listen to them, babe. I think you were awesome.” Val said.
“Yeah. It’s not like you killed someone.” Josh added.
“Not helping.”
Lunch was oddly refreshing. With only two friends with her and the space, she felt some air.
Until Gina bumped into her.
“Oh my god, get away from me you freak.”
“Oh sorry! Did I scare you, skank?” She doused Alison with coke.
“Oh, get over yourself honey.” Alison was ready to strike back, but Val beat her to it.
“Over THIS, bitch.” She splashed Gina with her own coke, and a battle broke out. Apparently, Alison’s bravery had struck an inspiration on Val too.
That day, Val was suspended for a few days. Gina, a week. Alison? Detention.
She spent detention in a corner with a few bad kids. Still, her rep hasn’t died out, even in detention.
“Don’t fret about it, Al! It’s not your fault.”
“How’s the black eye?” Alison asked.
“Good. I doubt Gina’s is any better though.”
They had been speaking by phone. Alison was all alone now. Her best friend was out of school for days and Josh was called by an editor. He was meeting with the editor to have his book published.
“I hope you’ll be fine all by yourself.”
She wasn’t gonna be.
The next few days were hell.
Gina’s friends made it out of their way to personally humiliate her.
When Alison reached her locker, Bitch was spray painted on it.
Her lunch involved those girls throwing their deserts at her.
Then, what was worse, they drove after her relentlessly, calling her a whore.
It was just a few days, but Alison couldn’t take it. Monday, after school, Alison finally decided to end it all.
This is where we left off.
Her memories were complete. She still wasn’t done healing from Derek, when her classmates started widening her still healing wound.
Sure, she did a lot of things to give her that reputation, but still...
It wasn’t her fault her heart was broken.
~~Josh~~
He was reaching Mile turn when he saw someone standing over a cliff.
It was Alison, her arms were outstretched. She was gonna commit suicide
...Dare you to move
...Dare you to move.
It didn’t take Josh 2 seconds to get out of his car and run for her.
~~~~~~~
…There’s a time and a place to die
…And this aint it! NOOOOO!!!!
Alison threw her Ipod down the ravine, and her car was at home. There was supposed to be no music.
“Whatever.” She started walking.
“Alison! No!!” Josh.
She didn’t turn around. Only whispering “I’m sorry.”
She leaped.
She wasn’t 2 feet down the ravine when someone caught her arm.
“Don’t...Let go!”
“Josh...”She was dangling. Her arm, caught in his.
“Don’t...!”
“No...It’s ok. It’s over. It’s ok.”
“ITS NOT!” She was surprised by his lashing out.
“Don’t. Don’t leave me again. I won’t know what to do with myself.”
She looked at his eyes. He was crying.
“Josh...What are you-“
“Alison, I Love you. I always have. Since the first time I met you. Since that time you pushed me out of that car’s way. That time you made my heart beat. When we started growing away, I didn’t stop loving you. No one could take your place.”
“Josh...”
“I know you hear the music too. You don’t know how many times I’ve heard the Only Exception when I see you. My Ipod doesn’t have that song.” He sniffed.
“Alison. I love you. I love you more than that excuse of a man. Derek.”
…Because none of it was ever worth the risk
…Well, you are the only exception.”
They both heard it now. Not only Josh, but Alison too.
She never knew it, but she loved him too. She would find herself looking his direction at lunch. She always wondered how he was.
That explained so much.
Alison took his arms and pulled herself, careful not to bring Josh down.
When she got back up, the first thing she did was kiss Josh full on the lips.
“I didn’t go to the editor.”Josh pulled away.
“What?”
“I was kinda planning my date with you. Funny, Cause I was supposed to bring you today and-” Alison held his cheek and kissed him quick.
"I don't need the details. I just know. I wanna be with you. Always. I love you too, Josh."
They kissed again as the sun dropped and drove to the song “The Only Exception” fading in the background.
The End.
So? What do you think of MY style of love stories? I know it was kinda dark at first and I almost contemplated killing Alison, But in the end, I decided to go with a chic flick ending. Well! I hope you really enjoyed! :)
…I'm better off when I hit the Bottom
Alison threw her Ipod into the deep Ravine
Funny she thought to herself
Never thought the last song I'd ever listen to would be Turn it Off.
A single tear fell from her cheek. She wiped it off her cheek.
Can't cry. No one's there to save you anyways.
The Ravine was at least 20 feet deep. Throwing herself over would instantly kill her.
Much like her Ipod, which she oddly heard it's destruction.
"Gravity. Thanks for giving me the chance to break all my bones. I'll get you a promotion when I get to hell."
Alison closed her eyes, sucked in a lot of air, and spread her hands out.
But before she decided to crush every part of her body, she wanted to remember everything that pushed her. Everything.
~~10 Days Ago~~
…I don’t even remember
…Why I'm Wasting all these tears on you!
Oh my god, Cassadee Pope. You're so overreacting. You, are like, so great. You don't need that guy.
Good thing I'm happy. What'll happen to me when my dear, dear Derek leaves me.
This was not a good sign. Alison's Ipod is her prophetic music player that oddly plays music that'll match the mood.
She inserted her key and turned her boyfriends apartment door knob, slowly. She wanted to surprise him with a visit.
Instead, she dropped the box of cake she had brought for him.
He was making out with a girl.
Not just any girl
That slut from her class, Gina Pally.
Derek must've heard the cake fall. That or because the door suddenly opened, with an open mouthed Alison standing out the door, because he was instantly off of Gina. If Alison had arrived any later, maybe it would've been more than their shirts on the floor.
For 10 seconds, Alison was just standing there with her mouth wide open.
Then came the impact of the situation.
Then Denial
Then Regret
Then Anger
Then the tears.
“What’s up, bitch?” Gina said abruptly. This was an intentional attack on her part. She wanted to destroy another couple.
And she succeeded.
Derek Michael Langsty fell for her attack.
He cheated on Alison.
“Alison...I.... Alison! Wait!”
Alison about-faced and ran down the hall, like any hurt girl who just caught her boyfriend kissing some slut.
Why? Tears continued to stream off of her face.
She reached her car and drove without any destination.
…Rolling in the Deep!!!
…You had my heart inside your hand!
Stupid Radio! Stupid Ipod! Why does every song you play end up coming true?!
Her heart was shattered. Her eyes so swollen, it might have popped out of her eye sockets.
It’ll take more than ice cream to mend her broken heart.
In her anger, she kept trying to change the station. All were oddly playing the same song.
Rolling in the deep.
“Oh my GOD! I HATE YOU!” She now started to bang her radio.
“If you know my future so much, why don’t tell me what’s gonna happen to me next you piece of-“
The song changed.
....I think we have an Emergency!
“Wha-“
There was a loud and long beep.
A car was gonna collide with hers.
“Shit!” She stepped on the breaks so hard, her heels might break.
It was a close shot.
“Oh my god...” She sighed. And angrily stepped out her car.
“Can you watch where you’re going?!” The man that stepped out of his own car was familiar.
“Well, if you weren’t driving so fast, you’d know you were driving on the wrong lane.”
It was her old friend. Josh Harris.
They had been close friends as kids. They oddly drifted when they entered high school.
“Sorry, Josh.” She turned around and wiped her eyes dry to avoid any more embarrassment.
The radio’s song changed again. From Emergency, it became
…And if you have a minute, why don’t we go
…Somewhere only we Know
Lyrics spoke for itself, yet Alison had no idea what they meant at the moment.
“Hey...What’s wrong, Ali?”
“I...I just...” She sat at her car.
Minutes later, they decided to talk, but not before parking their cars at the side of the road. Wouldn’t want to get hauled by the police.
“So, it was that bastard Derek.” Josh said. He smacked his fist into his other hand.
“Want me to take care of him?”
Alison laughed, but not without small tears still dripping. She was holding up her handkerchief.
“Don’t...That’s alright Josh. Thanks though...”
He smiled. A caring kind of smile. This made Alison wonder.
“Why did we ever grow apart?” She asked.
He tipped his hat upward and looked into the sky.
“I don’t really know. I just thought you wanted to hang out with your girl friends or Derek more. We slowly stopped seeing each other. That’s just it.”
“We became strangers.” She said so bluntly.
“Yeah...Strangers.”
Alison laid her head into his shoulder, and cried a good 8 minutes, before getting over herself.
She wiped her nose
…Who cares? Divine intervention
…I Wanna be praised from a new perspective
The song made no sense at this situation, but Alison took it as her sign to leave and thank Josh.
“I should go. I have some crazy crying to do and dark songs I have to listen to.”
“Sounds good. Can I come?”
“Haha... No. Thanks though. It’s not like you caught your girlfriend cheating with someone.”
He gave her an odd look that meant her words meant otherwise.
