After a war that left the world in ashes and crumbling earth, Wizards and Mortals live life in fear of one another. That included Kathy Madigan, who hid in a building full of isolation and survivors guilt. But when a helpless mortals and their wizard friend are chased by armed men, she couldn't just watch as they get killed. Now was the time for her to step in and see if it was time to truly end this war.
